The son of William Brinkley and Anna Jane Wrenn. A lifelong employee of the Norfolk & Western Railway.

CALVIN WATSON BRINKLEY
Death at 3:40 a.m. Monday, 66, of Prichard, W. Va., in Portsmouth General hospital after a lingering illness of two months duration. He submitted to an operation in the hospital several days ago and death was due to complications.
He was born in Smith(sic)county, Virginia, but for the last several years he had made his home in Prichard, W. Va. He was employed as a section master for the N & W railroad. He was a member of the Southern M.E. church and of the Masonic Blue lodge of White Creek, W. Va., of the Chapter or Wayne, W. Va. and the Knights Templar of Huntington W. Va. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows lodge of Buchanan, Ky. and of the Old Veterans association of the N & W.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mattie Brinkley of Prichard W. Va. and the following children: William of Roanoke, Va., Edward of Lawson street, W. B. of 5047 Endicott street, C. W. Jr. of Prichard, Va., Mack of 5531 Endicott street, Mrs. Kate French of Bluefield, Va., Mrs. Clara Pennington of Fort Gay, W. Va., and Mrs. Keyes of Sardinia (OH).
The body was removed Monday, to the home of his son, W. B. Brinkley of 5047 Endicott street. Memorial service will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Sciotoville M.E. church with Rev. W. F. Martin officiating. Interment will be in Memorial park cemetery under direction of the Emrick Co.
