Amy Johnson-Barlow - March 11, 2014 - The Post-Journal

Amy Johnson-Barlow, 38, formerly of Jamestown and North Carolina, passed away peacefully March 6, 2014, at her mother's home in Port Orange, Fla.

She was born Aug. 15, 1975 in Jamestown.

Amy attended Jamestown Schools, and worked as an administrative assistant in North Carolina be-fore she became ill. She made her home the past few months with her mother in Port Orange, Fla.

Amy loved to cross stitch and read. She will always be remembered for her love and helpfulness to her friends and family and her love of the pets she had. She is greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Jon Barlow; two sons: Joseph (Kerissa) Johnson and Nicholas Barlow; granddaughter, Myleigh Johnson; her father, Wayne and Kathy Johnson of Randolph; her mother, Debbie and David Marotto of Port Orange, Fla.; a brother, Michael Johnson; stepsister, Sherie Trout; stepbrothers: Matthew (Barb) Miller and David and Tony Morotto; grandfathers: Wilford "Papa" Marsh and Richard Hackett; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Amy was preceded in death by her grandmothers: Rea Marsh, who died Dec. 16, 2008 and Doris Sarrell Hackett, whom Amy always called her guardian angel; a stepbrother, Chad Miller, who died May 17, 2003; and a stepuncle, Ric Morotto.

The family invites you to a memorial service and time of sharing remembrances of Amy at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, in the Lind Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Wayne Johnson, 10 Dean St., Randolph, NY 14772, to be set up in a trust fund for her granddaughter, Myleigh.
