Alford, Grover S.óDied at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. A resident of 666 Kentucky Ave., Port Allen and a native of West Baton Rouge Parish, he was 78. He was a retired insurance salesman and director of the West Baton Rouge Parish Community Center. He was a veteran of World War I.
Body to be at Wilbert Funeral Home in Port Allen after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday until 9:45 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Allen at 10 a.m. Burial in the Chenal Cemetery, Chenal.
Survived by eight nieces and two nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews and numerous great, great-nieces and great, great-nephews.
He was a member of the American Legion, McKinley-Bourg Post No. 160, West Baton Rouge Parish.
