Edmond Anderson was born on September 10, 1921, in Drew Wright, Oklahoma. He was one of eleven children born to James and Rosetta Talley Anderson.
Edmond attended School in Oklahoma. He enlisted in the Army on January 1, 1941, and was discharged on February 14, 1946. He lived in Kansas City after leaving the military. He worked at a local packing house, where he retired.
Edmond was a member of St. Stephens Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Edmond Anderson is survived by, his loving and devoted wife, Lura; sister, Bessie King of Detroit, Michigan; one son, Wilferd Anderson (Constance); grandchildren: Wilfredia Anderson of Norman, Oklahoma, Thomas Anderson (Regina) of Oxnard, California, Andrew Anderson (Kaylynn) of Castle Rock, Colorado, Kimberly Anderson of Ada, Oklahoma, and Randaulph Anderson (Margie) of Ada, Oklahoma; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He had a special relationship with "his kids," Jasean, Howard, and Dallas Rice.
Funeral Services for Edmond Anderson were held on Thursday, April 4, 6:00 p.m. at The Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment, Leavenworth National Cemetery.
