Hettie Hewitt Armentrout, 73, of Stuarts Draft passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at her residence.
She was born in Augusta County, Virginia on November 25, 1942, daughter of the late Guy and Ora Frances (Huffman) Hewitt.
Hettie was a life member of the Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad. She was an active member of the Stuarts Draft Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, M. Brent Armentrout and a son, Daniel Todd Armentrout.
She is survived by her children, Michael B. Armentrout and his wife Angie of Poquoson, VA, Shawn Dedrick and her husband Greg of Stuarts Draft, VA, Marsha Norris of San Diego, CA, Nicole Briggs and her husband Patrick of Waynesboro, VA; grandchildren, Matthew Armentrout, Megan Armentrout, Lauren Dedrick, Lindsey Dedrick, Zachary Norris and his fiance Katie Wendt, Logan Norris and his wife Lydia, Hannah Norris, Tyler Briggs, Andrew Briggs, and Ryan Briggs; a brother Roger D. Hewitt of Love, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Mountain Top Christian Church Cemetery at Love, VA with Dr. William Kopp officiating.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Dollins, Richard Arbaugh, Jeff Dedrick, Travis Roberson, Jeremy Fox and Alan Skelly.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday, May 20, 2016 at McDow Funeral Home.
