LOUIS S. ALCOX, age 78, of Houston, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2005. He was born May 14, 1926 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a World War II Army Veteran and member of the 101st Airborne Division of the European Campaign. Louis was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge. He was then returned to the states for wound care and later discharged in December 1948.

Louis was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local Union 550 and a Gold Card Member. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Cletta J. Alcox; daughter, Laura Glover; sons, Sidney, Stephen, and Scott, all of Houston; sisters, Maxine of Laurel, MD, Betty Ann of Mesa, AZ, and Ann of Grants Pass, OR; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and many other loved ones. At Louis' request no formal services will be held.
