Connie Jean ABRIGHT, 62 of Hannibal, MO died at 1:25 PM Friday, July 6, 2012 at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park. Father Mike Quinn will officiate.

Connie was born on September 4, 1949 to George and Dorothy Jean HUDSON HOSKINS.

She was married to George Clayton ABRIGHT Jr. in Hannibal on April 6, 1974. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2004.

Also preceding Connie in death was her mother, Dorothy Jean HOSKINS GOSS and her father, George HOSKINS.

Survivors include 2 daughters and one son; 2 brothers and one sister; 3 exchange students previously hosted by the Abright family; also surviving are two who were like childrend to Connie; other survivors include a special niece, other nieces and nephews, a dear friend, many other close friends.

Connie graduated cosmetology school in 1968. After graduating, she completed advanced training in 1969. She managed a 10 station beauty shop in Columbia, MO for 7 years and worked as a beautician in Hannibal, MO at The Beauty Haven and The Patrician. She was later a homemaker and supported her late husband, George, on the family dairy farm for many years. Most recently Connie was a property manager, managing family property and rental property. Connie was also a certified Spiritual Counselor, specifically assisting widowers or anyone in need.

Connie loved to cook and entertain, especially at her pool. She loved hosting family gatherings, dinner parties and spending time with family. She enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, boating at Lake of the Ozarks and other water activities. Connie also loved to care for her yard and flowers. One of Connie's greatest joys was helping people and counseling others. Connie was active in her church and enjoyed activities there. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
