I don't think he is buried here, even though the cemetery records show him on the directory. Or he might have been moved later to White City Cemetery in White City, Ks. See #49025664 that has a picture of the stone. Parents & sibs on the memorial for the White Cemetery.

Son of Homer & Mary E. Bacon. The cemetery records say he was 9 years old.

Hebron Journal dated 11-27-2013~~~130 Years Ago, 1883:

Obituaries: Died, Charles O. Bacon, 17 years and 28 days; Caleb J. Bacon, aged 7 years, 4 months and 15 days and George W. Bacon, aged 3 years, 10 months, and 9 days. It would seem as if the cup of grief was brimming full when the shadow of the dark-winged angel rests upon one loved member of a household. But who can depict the anguish as death claims in quick secession each of three darling children. Who can tell of the terrible depths of sorrow---the awful climax of grief---reached as the parents take the last sad look on each dear face, as each is successively laid away to dreamless rest. All that could be done for the afflicted family (who arrived but a month before) by kind neighbors, was done, and in their deep grief they have the entire sympathy of their neighbors in Pleasant Plain community. They all died of diphtheria.
