ANDERSON, Edward Rhea "Andy/Eddie" Sr., 71, of Chesterfield, passed away on October 4, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Roxie Brooks Anderson; son, Edward Jr. "Andy" (Kate); daughter, Brooke Aldred (Randal); and grandson, Samuel Ferguson. He was the son of the late Delma and Marjorie Anderson of Richmond; and is also survived by his brothers, Felix Anderson (Brenda) of Clarksville and Bruce Anderson (Gayle) of Chester; sister, Gretchen O'Bryan of Midlothian; sisters-in-law, Patricia Waalewyn (Henry) and Mary McGill. Andy was a retired Captain for Chesterfield County Fire and EMS and was in the first recruit school. He was one of the first 11 career firefighters hired on October 1, 1969. Andy was a proud U.S. Marine who served in Vietnam. His family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull St. Rd. A graveside ceremony will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
