In 1850 Levi was enumerated as living in Somers, Tolland, Connecticut, in the family home.

By 1860 he had migrated to Scott Valley, Siskiyou, California, according to census records.

The 1863 US Civil War Draft Registration, Siskiyou County, California, shows L.E. Eno, age 32, as a saloon keeper born in Connecticut.

In 1865 he re-enlisted in the Civil War from the State of Oregon.

In 1868 the U.S. IRS Tax Assessment shows him residing in Indian Territory, Onieda County, Idaho Territory, working as a retail dealer.
