Doloros Maxine McCray, 73, Independence, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at the Monterey Park Nursing Center.

Mrs. McCray was born Nov. 24, 1928, in Johnson, Kan., the daughter of Chester D. and Sarah J. (Orman) Kendrick. She married William C. McCray on Dec. 15, 1946, who preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2001. She was a beautician and a member of Tri-City Ministries.

Her survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie and Gary Caywood, Blue Springs, and Cindy and Phillip Corkins, Norman, Okla.; two brothers, Thom Kendrick, Minneapolis, Kan., and Richard Kendrick, Florissant, Mo.; three sisters, Phyllis Trammell, Granby, Mo., Lois Ann Mighell, Granite City, Ill., and Rosa Lee McKnelly, Austin, Texas; five grandchildren, Jana Sloan, Cory and Kyle Corkins, Andrea Dettmer and Joe Caywood; and a great-granddaughter, Hope Corkins.

Private memorial services were held Sunday at the Monterey Park Nursing Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Arrangements were under the direction of the Webb-Freer Funeral Home, Blue Springs.
