He married Erma Lee Beck (deceased) in Spanish Fork, December 31, 1953. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple June 24, 1992.
He served in the U.S. Airforce, was a charter member of Mapleton Fire Dept. for 32 years and a lifetime member of Utah State Fireman’s Assn. He was a member of Maple Leaf Riding Club and the Springville Cattle Assn. as well as serving in various church callings. He was employed at Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Co. for 44 years. Before and after retiring he spent countless hours farming, ranching and riding in the mountains with many of his favorite people on his favorite horses.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and siblings, Ted, Pat, and Nadine. He is survived by Stephan (Jayne Ann) Bills, Douglas (Laurie) Bills, Alan (Karen) Bills, of Mapleton, Mary Ann (Paul) Averett of Springville; Siblings, Kay, Dianne, and Mac; and 14 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.
A viewing will be held in his honor Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Wheeler Mortuary 211 S. 200 E., Springville, from 6-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 at 11 am at Mapleton Stake Center, 970 N. 400 E., Mapleton, with a viewing prior to the service from 9-10:30 am. He will be interred with Erma Lee at Evergreen Cemetery.
