He was born and raised in Hartville, and attended Johnson School. He remained in Hartville most of his life besides a short time he lived in California. He worked for Arnall Lumber Company as a straight line saw operator for over thirty years. He also loved working on his farming, caring for his cattle and going to the sale barn.
Bill made his profession of faith in Christ and had attended the Assembly of God church in his younger years and also attended Hilltop Church.
He centered his life on his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren and visiting with friends. Most would say that he had a handle on life. In his spare time he enjoyed being outside, hunting, fishing and cutting wood. Bill was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend.
