FUNERAL TO BE HELD TUESDAY

Hiram Watson Weir, one of the oldest and best known farmers in Delaware County, passed away at 12:30 o'clock, Sunday, at his home in Mt Pleasant township, four miles west of Muncie. He had lived within a mile of where he died since he came to Delaware County as a child, three years of age. This was 75 years ago.

Mr Watson led a quiet life on the farm and was held in high esteem. His family through marriage, is one of the largest in the county and includes in its members many of the leading, well known residents in the various communities. Mr Watson was born in Bucks County, Pa., and came to Indiana with his parents when he was three years old. The family settled in Mt Pleasant township and Mr Watson continued to maintain his residence there until death called him Sunday.
The funeral will be conducted from the residence at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in the Collins Cemetery
