Pete C Didier, 87 of Fort Smith, Arkansas died Thursday November 23, 2000, in a local hospital. He was the co-owner and operator of Didier Lumber Company, a former coal miner, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Jenny Lind Masonic Lodge No. 503, where he received his 50 year pin, and a former Sebastian County Deputy Sheriff.

Masonic gravesite service will be 1 p.m. today at Steep Hill Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife Edith of the home; one daughter, Mary Pearson of Fort Smith; one son, Jimmy Lee of Fort Smith; three sisters, Florentine Vozel, Emma Ulmer, and Nancy Ray all of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, J Lee and Brian Didier, Kara Bideler and Marla Pearson, all of Fort Smith, and Randy Didier of Alma, Arkansas; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Larry Pearson, Robin Bideler, Donnie, Randy, Brian, Jimmie and J Lee Didier and Jerry Ulmer.
