Sylvia Jean “Teltow” Bonnet passed away October 12, 2016 at home in Walburg, Texas after a lengthy battle with cancer; surrounded by loving members of her family by her side. Jean was born on July 27, 1938 at her Grandparent’s home east of Walburg to Manuel and Sylvia Teltow.

Jean is survived by the love of her life, her husband Loyad. Also children Marjorie Bonnet of Georgetown, Brian Bonnet and wife Sheryl of Georgetown, grandchildren Jared Eckert and wife Monika of Walburg, Kyle Eckert and wife Stephanie of Boerne, Justin Bonnet of Round Rock, Evan Bonnet and wife Bree of Georgetown. Granddaughters Mallory Eckert of Georgetown and Ashlyn Bradford of Lubbock, Great Grandchildren Henley Eckert and Braxton & Cash Bonnet. Also surviving Jean are sisters JoAnna McLish of Leander, Janice Moore and husband Cordie of Florence, brothers Kenneth Teltow of Killeen, Wendell Teltow and wife Charlotte of Hutto, Winston Teltow and wife Glenna of Florence, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean attended school in Leander where she excelled at basketball and was elected Miss LHS in both her junior and senior years. She worked as an elementary school teacher in Leander and as a church secretary at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Walburg. Jean loved to sew, crochet, quilt, play piano, garden, and cook all kinds of food for her family.

Jean is preceded in death by son Steven Loyad Bonnet and parents Manuel and Sylvia Teltow.

Conducting the service is Reverend Greg Hammack, nephew. Serving as pallbearers are four grandsons and nephews Wayne Teltow and Aulston Adams.

The family asks that donations be made to The Cal Farley's Boys and Girls Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown. Services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00pm at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel.
