The community was shocked Monday afternoon as it learned of the sudden and unexpected death of Mrs. Grant Hill, at her home on West North Avenue.
Apparently in usual good health she had served on the jury at Lisbon in the forenoon and had returned to her home but briefly, when she succumed to an acute heart attack.
A daughter of the late Thomas T. and Eugenia Sheets Todd, she was born in this city Dec. 31, 1878.
Here she was educated in our public schools, graduating with the class of 1896. All her life was spent in this city, save for a few years spent in Salem, when her husband was a business executive in an industry in that city.
She was a women devoted to good works, active in her church, the Presbyterian and during the war periods prominent in Red Cross activities. She was also a member of the Eastern Stars.
