Services set Friday for ex-Struthers man
STRUTHERS – Services will by at 11 a.m. Friday at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home for Stephen Charles Balogh Jr., 40, of 603 E. Pearl St., Butler, Pa., formerly of Struthers, who died of an abdominal hemorrhage Monday in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning. Mr. Balogh was born July 15, 1954, in Fort Eustis, Va., a son of Stephen C. Sr. and Mary Louise Barnett Balogh, lived in Struthers most of his life and moved to Butler from Denver in 1989. He graduated in 1972 from Struthers High School and attended Arapaho Community College in Colorado. He was a production engineer for Triangle Circuits Co. in Cheswick, Pa.
He was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of Surface Mount Technology Association of America and a former member of Struthers United Methodist Church.
Besides his mother of Poland and his father and stepmother, Stephen C. Sr. and Georgia Balogh of Austintown, he leaves his grandfather, Stephen J. Balogh of Struthers; a daughter, Miss Briana of Denver; two sisters, Mrs. Cathy Mitchell of Stafford, Va., and Mrs. Joyce Fox of Hubbard; two stepsisters, Mrs. Dawn Ferguson of Austintown and Mrs. Bobbi Treharn of Boardman; and his fiancée, Ms. Susan Vieira of Butler.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the church memorial fund, 33 Sexton St., Struthers, OH 44471 or to the Rescue Mission, 962 Martin Luther King Blvd., Youngstown 44510.
