Arnold Asper, 92, of Mitchell, formerly of Adams, died Tuesday (April 10, 2001) at Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell.
He was born April 28, 1908, in Adams. On May 31, 1934, he married Stella Rogne in Adams. She died in 1988. Mr. Asper was employed by Hormel Foods Corp. for 29 years as a hog buyer in Adams, Austin, Mitchell and Fort Dodge. He was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge and First Lutheran Church in Mitchell.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Don) Fitzler of Mitchell; a son, Dennis of Polson, Mont.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helene Morgensen of Albert Lea. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a brother and a sister.
