Morristown --- Lena Braun, 95, of Morristown and McIntosh, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at West River Regional Medical Center in Hettinger, N.D.
Her Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in McIntosh. The Rev. Kerry Prendiville will officiate.
Burial will be in the church cemetery in McIntosh with Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon in charge of arrangements.
A scriptural rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
Lena Bleth was born May 3, 1907, to Tom and Sally Bleth in Richardton, N.D. She received her education in Richardton.
She married Mike Braun on Oct. 12, 1925, in Bismarck, N.D. They resided in Mandan, N.D., where he was employed. They then moved to South Dakota where they resided in Morristown, Watauga and McIntosh throughout the years. She managed the girls' dormitory in McIntosh in the 1940s and was the head cook at McIntosh School for 11 years until her retirement. He died Aug. 14, 1971.
She enjoyed dancing and making sock monkey dolls. She was known for her cheese kuchen.
Survivors include one son, Richard (Kathleen) Braun of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; two daughters, Fayme (Darwin) Stoltenburg of Clear Lake, and Dorothy (Maurice) Campbell of McIntosh; five sisters, Elizabeth Brown of Hettinger, Rose Worthington and Eileen Bishop, both of Vancouver, Wash., Monica West of Portland, Ore., and Sally Phillips of Seattle; special friend, Johnny Schell of Morristown; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and four sisters.
Casketbearers will be Daryl Campbell, Mike Stoltenburg, Mike Braun, Charlie Blotsky, Carrol Grandpre and Bruce Klatt.
