"Died at the residence of Mrs. Houston, north side of Back Bay of Biloxi, on Tuesday, August 23, 1892, Mrs. Margaret Abbley, aged 88 years, 1 month and 20 days. Mrs. Abbley had been a respected and honored resident of this county for over fifty years. She leaves four children - Capt. Fitz(sic) Abbley, Rudolph Abbley, Mrs. Mary Santa Cruz and Mrs. Minnie Houston - a number of grand-children, great grand-children and great great grand-children, besides a large circle of friends and acquaintances to mourn her demise. The remains were interred in the family burying ground north..."
