Mrs. Ake was born Oct.20, 1936, in Wynnewood View to Cora (Foster) and Virgil Ivey. She had lived in Davis for 17 years. She grew up in Wynnewood and attended school at Wynnewood View. She married Billy Asto Ake on Dec. 27, 1951, in Pauls Valley. She was a member of Faith Center in Sulphur. She was a friendly, loving and giving person who loved flowers, gardening and God. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, Brian Ake.
She is survived by three children; Lonnie Ake of Wynnewood, Kenny Ake of Spokeane, Wash., and Pat Coats of Oklahoma City; one brother, M.E. Ivey of Hennepin; three sisters, Darlene McCurtain of Pauls Valley, Shirley Wright of Lovington, N.M., and Virginia Mosley of Pauls Valley, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Wendell Ake, Lonnie Ake, Travis Ake, Jacky Chandler, Calvin Ivey and Mike Barnes. Krien Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
