Charlotte A. Olive, daughter of Rev. Johnson Olive and Martha Hunter Olive, was married April 28, 1875, Holly Springs, Wake, NC, to George Benton ("Bent") Alford. Two children, Green Haywood Alford (1882-1960) and Mattie V. Alford (1880-1955), were born to them. She is buried with her husband on the grounds of the Leslie Home (Leslie-Alford-Mims Home)(100 Avent Ferry Rd.), which was their home, in Holly Springs.
