Marco Anthony Guzman, age 21, passed away on Feb. 26, 2010, in Prescott, Ariz. He was born on April 6, 1988, to Albert and Clara Guzman.

Anthony graduated from Prescott High School in 2007 and attended both Yavapai College and Scottsdale Community College. He was actively pursuing a career in the Fire Service. Anthony was an avid sports participant. He played for the semi-pro football team The Yavapai Bandits and was their team captain. He was a three-year letterman for the Prescott High School football team; he was the recipient of the Tough Boot Award, 1st Team All Region Running Back, and 2nd Team All Region Linebacker. Wrestling was also a sport that Anthony loved - as a freshman, he placed fourth in State for Prescott High School and was regional Champion his junior year. Anthony also received the Arizona Wildfire Academy Fire Recruit of the Year Award. Despite all the awards Anthony received, his family and friends were the biggest and brightest part of his life.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Albert and Clara Guzman; brother Albert; sister Adriana; grandparents Clara Denslow and Alberto and Gema Guzman; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, godparents and many friends. He is also survived by his faithful pets, Luna and Buddy.

A time for visiting will be from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010, at Sacred Heart Church with a Rosary to follow at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010, also at Sacred Heart. A reception will immediately follow the service on Saturday at Prescott High School.
