Man dies from burns
AKRON: A Deerfield man burned over 70 percent of his body last week in a propane gas explosion died at 12:48 p.m. Tuesday at Akron Children's Hospital, where he was being treated for his injuries. Kevin Lee Ball, 43, was burned on his arms, legs, hands, face and head when he attempted to light a propane furnace at his home on state Route 224 on Oct. 14. The furnace blew up. Ball was able to call 911 and was conscious and standing in front of his home wearing only a pair of shorts when rescue workers arrived, according to reports.
