Ollie Bell Marion was born on February 20th, 1891, and the daughter of John Marion (Marien) and Orpha Gilbert of Hancock, Tennessee.

Ollie's siblings were Fuller b. 1880, James b. 1881, George b. 1882, Herman Woodford b. 1885 (death certificate gives date as 8 Dec 1884) - FAG# 46864176 married Rosa Lee Smith, Hugh b. 1887, John b. 1889, Leonard b. 1891, and Nellie b. 1893. Ollie was the youngest child born in 1895 (although on her fathers census birth is 1895, another found record lists 1897, and Headstone photo reads 1891).

Her paternal grandparents were Elijah Marion and Nancy (Gilbert) Marion, and her maternal grandparents were Rev. John Gilbert and Sarah Lydia (Baker) Gilbert.

Ollie was the greatgranddaughter of Rev. James Gilbert (FAG#6222866) and Sarah (Marshall) Gilbert, and Bartholomew and Mary Polly Marion.

Ollie Bell (Marion) Harless-Pendleton-Ferguson was the mother of eight children and seven step-children.

Ollie's (first) husband was Jasper Harless. He was the son of Andrew P. Harless born in Tennessee, and Elizabeth Jones born in Virginia. Ollie's husband Jasper died from the great flu epidemic in 1919. Ollie became a widow with four young children aged 1, 3, 5, and 7 years old. Jasper was buried in the same Mulberry Gap Church Cemetery in Hancock County, Tennessee, as Ollie's parents, John and Orpha Marion.

Mae Virginia Harless born on May 1, 1912 in Sneedville, Hancock County, Tennessee. She married (1)Bloom (2)Ferguson. Mae died September 23,1992 in South Hill, Virginia, and is buried in the Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Maryland.

John Henry Harless was born on April 23, 1914 in Sneedville, Hancock County, Tennessee. John married Retha Mae Lee, daughter of Robert E. Lee and Carrie B. Speak.
John died April 30, 2002 in Mt. Airy, Frederick County, Maryland, and is buried at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Howard County, Maryland.
Family story told by Ollie to her grandchildren by her grandson Barry, "Grandparents Ollie and Jasper were riding on horseback after purchasing horses in Texas to bring back to Tennessee. Grandmother Ollie was nine months pregnant, and she gave birth to John Henry Harless along the Appalachian trail in Tennessee on the way back home."

Perry Harless was born on July 14, 1916 in Tennessee. Perry married Muriel Campbell, daughter of Horace Franklin Campbell and Gertrude Ferguson, September 23, 1940 in Hawkins County, Tennessee. Perry Harless died September 5, 1969.

Marion "Bob" Harless was born on September 22,1918 in Sneedville, Hancock County, Tennessee. Marion Harless married Margaret Michael. Marion died February 19, 2003 in Sykesville, Maryland, and is buried at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Howard County, Maryland.

Ollie married (second) husband Christopher Columbus Pendleton, and their children were Clyde D.(Buster)FAG#28539835, and Nellie(Dude)Drinnon, and her Pendleton step-children were Cole, Charlie, William Lloyd, Laura Fletcher, Hattie Lee Gilbert, Julia Anne McDaniel, and Lucinda Sandefur. Ollie's second husband Christopher was killed in an accident with his horse.

Ollie married (third) husband Joseph Ferguson and their children were James (Jimmy) Randall Sr., and Mary"Polly" (Ferguson) Skridulis, Dayhoff. Ollie divorced Joseph, and he moved to the Eastern shore of Maryland, re-married, and started a Lumber Mill.

Ollie Bell Marion Harless Pendleton Ferguson lived with her daughter Nellie (Ferguson) Drinnon in Maryland, and died in 1980. She is buried in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Howard County, Maryland.
