Marchal Elizabeth Sheffler Adams, born on September 28, 1971 in Elkton, MD and was called to heaven on Sunday, April 24, 2011, to be with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Marchal was a 1990 graduate of Elkton High School and later continued her education in North Carolina where she became a Certified Emergency Medical Technician. She was later employed with Trans Care Medical Transportation Services in Newark, DE as a Certified EMT.

Aside from spending time with her family and friends, Marchal enjoyed crabbing, fishing, boating, eating coconut cake and spending her summers at her mother's home laying by the pool. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time caring for others and animals.

Marchal leaves behind to cherish her memories, her parents, Clara Sheffler (Robert Scott) and Robert Sheffler Jr. (Sandy), both of Elkton, MD; daughters, Jessica E. Adkins (Ronnie Crabtree) of Elkton, MD and Megan L. Adams of Snow Hill, NC; former husband, Kenneth R. Adams of Snow Hill, NC; a very special granddaughter, Leanna Crabtree of Elkton, MD; grandmother, Agnes Poore of Elkton, MD; sister, Catherine Webster (Rudolph) of Elkton, MD; and brother, Robert Sheffler III (Yvette) of Elkton, MD. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Marshall Poore; paternal grandparents, Robert and Delores Sheffler, Sr.; uncle, Gary Sheffler and cousin, Kevin Fields.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A. (formerly Gee Funeral Home), 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921, where friends and family may call on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 7-9 pm. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral costs.
