Wanda Faye Rudolf Hadfield, 83, of Rock Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 27, 2016.

Wanda was born Aug. 26, 1932, in Tamaroa IL, to Fred and Elizabeth Rudloff. Her family moved to Carterville IL while Wanda was in grade school, where she met Dale Hadfield her future husband.

Wanda Rudolf and Dale Hadfield were married Oct. 14, 1950. They moved to the Sterling area in 1954.. Wanda was a homemaker and seamstress extraordinaire, creating many “Fontanine Originals” for herself and her daughters.

Wanda began her personal relationship with the Lord in her early teens. Her love for the Lord led her to many teaching opportunities, including children’s Bible study at Lincoln Grade School and Calvary Baptist Church in Sterling, and youth group leader, Sunday school, and vacation Bible school teacher at First Baptist Church in Polo.

She was a charter member of Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls, with the organizational meeting to start the church in her and Dale’s home. Wanda was the nursery coordinator for the first 5 years at Harvest Time, and continued with her services as a women’s Sunday school teacher for 20 years, and leader of the Thursday Morning Women’s Bible Study for 25 years.

Wanda is survived by two daughters, Becky (Don) Ackerman of Louisville, Kentucky, and Suzette (Dan) Schriner of Rock Falls; five grandchildren, Brandon (Megan) Dettman of Dixon, Megan Joy (Donny) Ritter of White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia, Lacey (Drew) Christianson of Sterling, and Jennifer and Nicholas Ackerman of Louisville; and five great-grandchildren, Gabriella Parker and Payton Ritter of White Sulfur Springs, Nathaniel, Averie and Brantley Dettman of Dixon, and Paizley Christianson of Sterling.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Dale Hadfield; both parents; two sisters; and one brother.
