Derek Lamb was best known for his animation and direction at The National Film Board of Canada. His famous Special Delivery won an Oscar in the 1970's. He was Executive Producer of the NFB's English Animation Department from 1976-82. Was married to fellow animator, Janet Perlman but later divorced. He passed away of cancer at the age of 69 at a friend's house in Poulsbo, Washington State in 2005
