Miss Jennie Fry was botrn May 25, 1859 at Dexterville, Wis. On Jan. 31, 1876 she was united in marriage to Amos E. Harris and in the following year they moved to Canton, S.D. To them were born ten children, five of whom died in infancy.
for the past 30 years Mrs. Harris has lived on her homestead south of Draper except for occasional visits with her married children. Mrs. Harris passed away at her home Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1937 at about 11 p.m., aged 78 years. She is survived by five children: Mrs. Ruby Jones of worthing, S.D.; Ralph Harris of Mission; Mrs. Hazel Townsend, of Mankato, Minn.; Mrs. Addie Winchell; and George Harris, Draper. Also two sisters: Mrs. Addie Sampson, Webster; Mrs. Libby Fulles, Watertown; and one brother, Mr. Charley Fry, Winner; and several grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1924.
Funeral services were held in Draper Saturday and burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, S.D.
