Mrs. James Jones
Mrs. Rhoda Jones died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thos. Broadbent, in Watterstown, Grant county, Wis., on Saturday, Oct. 13, 1900, aged 91 years.
Funeral took place Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock and services were led by Rev. J.V. Bennett. Her remains were laid to rest in the Oak Ridge cemetery in the presence of many sorrowing friends, for she was a sincere Christian and was beloved by all who knew her.
Rhoda Mann was born at Niagra (sic), Quebec (sic), Canada. She was united in marriage to James Jones in 1825. They came to Wisconsin in 1860 and her husband died in 1869.
Of her children who remain to mourn the loss of a loving mother are Mrs. R.E. Kimball and Mrs. John Willis of the city of Boscobel; Mrs. W.A. Wall, Blue River; Mrs. T. Broadbent, Watterstown; Mrs. E. Churchill, Paris, Ontario, Canada; Simeon Jones, Mason City, Iowa; James Jones, Herndon, Kansas; Robert Jones, Manke, Minn.; Ira Jones, Missouri.
At the funeral the remains of the estimable lady were carried to the cemetery by six of her grandsons.
