ANDERSON — The Rev. Ralph W. Anderson, 75, Anderson, died July 25, 2009, at Saint John's Meidcal Center after being stricken unexpectedly.

He was born Aug. 27, 1933, in Norwalk, Wisc., the son of Henry Edwin and Ida Marie (Kirgiss) Anderson, and resided in Anderson since 1999.

He served the Church of God with pastorates in Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan and Indiana. Currently he was the pastor at Mount Pleasant Community Church and he was also a greeter with Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service for the past eight years.

He was a member of Mounds Kiwanis Club and had served in various capacities and committees within the Church of God.

Ralph was a graduate of Norwalk High School in Wisconsin, and graduated from Anderson University with a bachelor of arts degree, followed by a Masters of Divinity degree from the School of Theology.

Survivors his wife, Ruth Marie (Williamson) Anderson, whom he married Jan 5, 1958; four children, Wanda Anderson of Anderson, Greg (wife, Jillian) Anderson of Jamestown, Ind., Angela (husband, Todd) Brooks of Sparta, Wisc., and Christina (husband, Terry) Pease of Anderson; nine grandchildren, Jacob Brooks (serving in Iraq), Scott (wife, Jenni) Brooks, Rachel Brooks, Philip Andrew Pease and Rebecca Brooks, all of Sparta, Wisc., Patrick Pease and Parker Pease of Anderson, and Hannah Anderson and Zachary Anderson of Jamestown; two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Aiden Brooks of Sparta, Wisc.; three brothers, Lloyd (Rita) Anderson of Marion, Ohio, Jerry (Malva) Anderson of Columbia, Mo., and Edwin George (Pat) Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Etta Joyce Anderson; and his parents.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Park Place Church of God with the Rev. Phillip Bruzzese officiating.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
