Freddie Wilson Collier, age 93, of Dardanelle died Saturday, March 16, 2002 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born July 29, 1908, in Charleston to Fred Milton Collier and Aggie Mae McAnally Collier. He is a veteran of the Arkansas National Guard, a member of the Bright Star Masonic Lodge 213 and a member of the Sladey Cross Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Collier; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Shirley Collier of North Little Rock; four daughters, and sons-in-law, Delena Collier of Dardanelle, Mary and Bill Linker of North Little Rock, Patsy Roush of Dardanelle and Bobbie and Ed Douglass of Heber Springs; a brother, Arlie Collier of Portersville, CA; 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral was March 19 at Dardanelle Funeral Chapel by Brother Roger Pearce. Burial was in Ringer Cemetery in Centerville by Dardanelle Funeral Service. Pallbearers were Robert Linker, Ronnie Douglass, Randy Roush, Keith Douglass, Billy Joe Collier and Thad Collier. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville.
