Vere Quimby Cooper, the son of Cassious Mont and Mary Jane Blakely Cooper, was born in Wheaton, Pottawatomie County, KS. He married Sophia Barbara Meili on December 24, 1924. He was a WW I Veteran and a long time member of the Topeka Round-Up club. He worked for 32 years as a licensed undertaker for Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary in Topeka. He passed away after a long illness with emphysema at the age of 74. He and Sophia had no children.
