Originally buried at the Mutual Family Burial Ground in Philadelphia. Later transferred to Laurel Hill. Possibly born in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, but this is an ongoing research issue. George was married to Elizabeth Rees Fitzgerald.From the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA:

So, apparently George K. Fitzgerald had died sometime before his wife, and his body moved from the Mutual Burial Ground, or Mutual Family Cemetery at 10th and Washington In South Philadelphia, which was existent until 1924, and re-interred near his wife.
