Theda Evangeline Alderson-Roach, 93, of Bella Vista, Ark., died March 6, 2014, at Jamestown Nursing and Rehab in Rogers.

She was born on Dec. 17, 1920, in Prairie Grove, the daughter of Elmer Byron and Esther Melissa Counts Shofner.

She was a retired restaurant manager and a member of the Bella Vista Church of Christ.

She was the widow of Lee James Alderson and Ernest B. Roach. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Phillip Daugherty and one stepgreat-grandson, Devon Jacko.

She was one of two great-granddaughter heirs of the Wesley Cemetery.

Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Cliff and Brenda Alderson of Springdale, Keller and Joy Alderson of Bella Vista, and Bryan and Jeanette Alderson of Bentonville; three daughters, Rose Daugherty of Payson, Ariz., Wilma Piccrelle of Glen Ivy, Calif., and Ginny Alderson of Bella Vista; one sister, Alice Patton of Springdale; three grandsons; six granddaughters; one stepgrandson; 10 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 10, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Charles Cash, minister officiating.

Interment followed in the Wesley Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.

Pallbearers were Jeff Grisham, Roger Arnold, Tom Verkler, Jerry Orr, and Mitch Whittington.
