Coy James Absher age 67, Rogersville, died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at Indian Path Medical Center, following an extended illness.
He was a member of Howe's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Lula Ferrell Absher.
He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lee and Foster Turner; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Doyle and Linda Absher; Harley and Eileen Absher; two nieces, Angela Wallace and Michelle Absher; and a great-niece, Tabitha Simpson, all of Rogersville.
Calling hours will be 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 1999, at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Revs. Ray Mullins and Basil Jones officiating. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 1999, at Howe's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Family will be at the home of Doyle and Linda Absher, Howe's Chapel Rd., Rogersville.
