Kenton Dale Redman, 69, of Joplin, Missouri formerly of Sarcoxie, Missouri departed this life on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at his residence after years of failing health.

Kenton entered this life on December 12, 1942 in Greenfield, Missouri to the union of the late Lewis Bender and Mary Elizabeth (Morrow) Redman. He was raised in the Golden City, Missouri area and was a 1961 graduate of Golden City High School. He received his certification as a Medication Technician from Carthage Technical School in Carthage, Missouri and also was certified in Activities For The Elderly and Mentally Handicapped from the Nevada State School in Nevada, Missouri. He was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club (he loved coon hunting) and the New Fairview Baptist Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri where he had taught Sunday school and served on the nominating committee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and two sisters.

Kenton is survived by his wife, Goldie Redman of Sarcoxie, Missouri; a daughter, Tanya Hunter and husband, Danny, of Sarcoxie, Missouri; four sons, Kevin Redman and wife, Shannon, of Mindenmines, Missouri and Steve, Claude and Bill Shanklin all of Golden City, Missouri; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Redman are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri with Minister Keith Brumfield officiating.
