Funeral services for Ida Mae Bauer, 84, of St. Peters, were held Tuesday, Jan 21, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Chapel, Gainesville, with dale Roberts officiating, Burial was in Pontiac Cemetery.
Mrs Bauer died at 3:50 a.m., Jan. 17, 1997, at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles. She was born April 2, 1912, at New Orleans, La.
She was married on Sept. 12, 1931, at St. Louis, to William A. Bauer, who preceded her in death on March 21, 1984.
She had been a postmaster and had lived in St. Peters for nine months. She was a former resident of Mountain Home, Ark., for five years, and a former resident of Pontiac. She had been a member of the Pontiac Ladies Club.
Mrs. Bauer is survived by her son, William A. Bauer Jr., of St. Peters; grandchildren Tari Hathcock of Eudora, Kans., Tricia Bauer of St. Peters, and Douglas Bauer of Balwin; brother and sisters, Ellen Dierkes, Bill Dierkes, Tom Dierkes, Jeanette Luttrell and Delores Ausdemore.
Pallbearers were Doug Bauer, Stanley Zenda, Craig Minche, Bill Dierkes, Bob Hathcock, and Tom Cline.
