George Washington Hudson was born into slavery in 1845.His father may have been born in Kentucky and mother born in Missouri. (Slave owner may have been a Samuel Hudson in Buckner M.O.)George Washington lived in Buckner, Jackson, Missouri as well as Kansas City, M.O. He lived a time with the John Wesley Bowling family in Buckner working as a hired hand. He lived in a shed out back of the home. His nickname was "Ole Wash". He was husband to Mary Shoemaker/Shumacher and father to :William, Pearl, James, and Benjamine. (Maybe others)He was a diabetic and died May 28,1925. The old photo of George Washington was taken by the Bowling family.
