Nancy Catherine Geddes Bruce – Lacey, Thurston Co., Washington USA
Nancy was born April 23, 1923 in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. Her Parents were Allan Walter and Theresa Blackie Geddes. She lived in Ely, Nevada and Watsonville, Ca growing up. She received a BA Degree at UC Berkley and her Masters at Alaska Methodist University. She taught at West High School in Anchorage for over 40 years. During that time she taught 2 years at Anatolia College in Greece on a Fulbright Grant. She also taught part time at UAA. She moved to Lacey in 1990 and became an active member of Panorama City serving on the residents counsel and various other activities. She is survived by her son Arthur Bruce Monrovia, Ca.; a brother Allan Vancouver, Wa.; 2 half sisters Beverly Geddes and Sylvia Lazo Watsonville, Ca.; and 2 granddaughters Katharine Bruce and Corinne Benken. She requested no services. A private inurnment will be at St John's Episcopal Church.
