Son of Kern M. and Sarah Stapleton Sizemore, Tom was the younger brother of Hillery Walter Sizemore and the husband of Maggie Anderson Sizemore. He was born in Pumpkin Valley, Eidson, Hawkins County, TN on the family farm.
He helped his brother Hillery build his and is wife and Ida Carter Sizemore's house in Pumpkin Valley in late 1899/early 1900. Hillery and Ida raised their thirteen children in it and it stood until about 2002. Tom and Maggie lived in the log house of his parents until they moved to Kingsport. After Tom and Hillery's widowed mother went to live with Hillery, the old log house was demolished and a large barn made of chestnut wood was built beside it.
Tom worked at the Borden Mill cotton mill plant in Kingsport, TN in the 1920s and then worked at Tennessee Eastman Co. in the Acetate Yarn Shipping & Stores Dept. until his retirement.
He along with his wife are buried in the Zion United Methodist Church Community Cemetery in Baileyton, Greene County, TN where they lived. He and Maggie had seven children.
