Tommie was the youngest of seven children. Parents were James T. Foster and Louisa Belle Angel. Her father grew up in north Texas. He was a rancher and a cowboy and maid many tips driving cattle from Texas to Abilione, Kansas over the Chisholm Trail. He was a Texas Ranger in later years.
Mothers family came from Illinois when she was a small girl and settled in north Texas near fathers family. This is were they met and married. When Tommie was 8mos old (Oct 1896) her family moved in a covered wagon to Lexington, Oklahoma.
Tommie met Andy C. Autrey in Bisbee, Arizona and married there on 17 May 1916. They had four children. Bill, Ruth, Margery, Thomas Marvin.
