Services were conducted last Monday for Ray S. Berlin, Sr., 87, of Markleville, who passed away Saturday, October19, 1977, after a brief illness.
He was born in Marshall County, and was a landscape engineer for the Tippecanoe River State Park constructed in 1937 and designed landscaping for estates, state parks and playgrounds. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and Isaak Walton League.
Mr. Berlin was a former resident of Valparaiso.
Surviving are three sons, Jack and William Berlin, Valparaiso, and Bennet Berlin, of Gurney; a daughter, Mrs. Jean Dinsmore of Hebron; sister, Grace Jacoby of Plymouth; and five step children, all of Markleville.
