Clytia Mae McCabe died peacefully surrounded by her loving family Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004 after a lengthy illness.

Clytia was born Nov. 9, 1923 to Wallace and Pauline (Copeland) Lilly in McNary.

She was the seventh of eleven children. Clytia married Ernest Harding McCabe Dec. 5, 1941 and later sealed in the Arizona Temple for eternity. She raised her family in the White Mountains of Arizona. Clytia enjoyed being outdoors in the forest chopping wood and in her yard planting flowers. She loved attending sports activities and cheering for her children and grandchildren. Clytia's life was continually spent in service to her family and to the Church. She held many positions in the LDS Church including relief society president and many years in scouting. She and Ernest served in the Mississippi, Jackson Mission and along with her sweetheart served as Temple workers in the Arizona Temple.

Clytia is survived by her husband Ernest and nine children, Weslie, Robert, Gayle (Maxwell), Kenneth, Carolle (Nevill), Norman, Gordon, Scott and Pauline (Agne); 37 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Alan McCabe and Danny Agne. Who are now her heavenly escorts.

There will be a viewing in Mesa Sunday, Dec. 26 at the LDS Chapel, 997 E. Broadway Rd. from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lakeside Ward Building, 1520 Church Lane (across from the post office) in Lakeside at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28. Lakeside viewing will be one hour prior to service.

Clytia McCabe will be greatly missed here on earth and her entire family looks forward to the day they will be reunited with her forever.

The family would like to express their loving gratitude to Tina McCabe for her tender care and to Clifford Joy Maxwell for his handmade casket.
