Paul Wilson Byrd was the son of William B. and Victoria Thornton Byrd (Victoria Thornton Byrd was the daughter of Nancy Thornton, daughter of Isaac and Mary OSteen Thornton). He was the brother of: William P. Byrd; Rosa E. Byrd; Nellie D. Byrd; Curlity V. Byrd; Lula V. Byrd; Isaac L. Byrd.Paul Wilson Byrd was first married to Cornelia Murray in 1902. Cornelia died in 1903. Paul then married Lillie Griffis ( daughter of David Allen and Argent Courson Griffis (David Allen Griffis was the son of David and Louisa Johnson Griffis).He was the father of Cornelia Byrd Crawford; Vera Lee Byrd Murray Dixon Crawford; Mamie Jewel Byrd Turner and Clarence L. Byrd. Both he and his wife are buried in the Big Creek Cemetery in K'Ville, Wayne County, Georgia.
