KINSTON - Julius Lee Barrow, 81, of 606 College St., died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a retired wood craftsman and carpenter. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Lion's Club. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Mae Kegerreis; and his wife, Eleanor Mills Barrow. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 25, in the chapel of Garner Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park. Survivors include his first cousin, Rose M. Clark and husband, Denny, and their daughter, Sonya, of the home; and several cousins including Beulah Burroughs of Greenville; special friends, George and Rose Skinner, whom Julius considered to be just like a son. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at the funeral home and other times at the home. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Tape Ministries, 2101 North Heritage St., Kinston or to the Lion's Club c/o Mac Lovick, 410 Darby Ave., Kinston 28501.
