Brockton Enterprise obituary: "Beatrice Gerrish, 77, beautician, waitress. CARVER - Beatrice T. (Gorham) Gerrish, 77, of 232 South Meadow Village, died Monday, Nov. 2, at Jordan Hospital, Plymouth, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Russell B. Gerrish of Carver and mother of Bruce W. Baker of Manomet and Jennie Cormier of Middleboro. Mrs. Gerrish, formerly of Hanson, was a direct distributor of Amway products. Prior to that, she was a beautician and a waitress in Bryantville. She was born on June 29, 1915 in Hanson, daughter of A. Stanley and Florence (Turner) Gorham. She attended Hanson schools and was a graduate of Whitman High School, Class of 1932, and Wilfred Beauty Academy. Besides her husband, son and daughter, Mrs. Gerrish leaves two brothers, S. Erwin Gorham of Hanson and Ralph A. Gorham of Duxbury, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A funeral service will be conducted today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. in the Leighton Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St., Hanson with the Rev. Charles Bark of Bryantville Methodist Church officiating. Cremation will follow and Mrs. Gerrish's ashes will be buried in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Pembroke. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 20 Steen St., Framingham, MA 01701."
