Elizabeath was the daughter of William G. & Margaret Elizabeath Ramer Batten, my Grandparents. She is buried in Bond Cemetery at Knobel, Arkansas. William had moved there to work on the Railroad. After the work was finished, he moved his family back to Lafe area. Then, in 1920, they moved to Lunsford, Arkansas and never moved back to Green County. They are buried in Ramer's Chapel Cemetery, in Green County. In 1966, when we moved back to Arkansas, I took my father to Knobel to find her grave. We went to a store there and the owner said there was an old lady who lived upstairs who might know where the grave was located. She did remember when my grandparents lived there and remembered the little girl being buried in Bond Cemetery. She said the child had no monument, but the grave was marked by a big piece of stone. She showed us the spot and my Dad spoke to me about getting her a monument, but he was dead a month later. Anyway, I was just thinking about her Friday and typed Batten in at Bond Cemetery. It came back with her name and a picture of her monument. I just wish my Dad could have seen the true gravesite. She was a year younger than Daddy.
