Services for Iva May Hendrix Allison of rural Curryville were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Stern Funeral Chapel in Louisiana, with the Rev. Ronald Stanislaus officiating. Burial was in Curryville Cemetery.
Iva May Hendrix, only child of Will and Pearl Green Hendrix, was born Feb. 21, 1900. She died at Pike County Memorial Hospital Sunday, Jan. 2, 1977, following a lingering illness.
She was married to Jarvie E. Allison in November, 1916. They were the parents of two daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Wilma) Francis of Curryville and Mrs. Betty Smith of Louisiana, who survive. Other survivors include a granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one grandson.
Mrs. Allison spent most of her life in the Curryville community.
